The terroir is situated on the heart of the Pomerol plateau. The vineyard has old vines which are planted on clay and gravel soils not that much different than its neighbors, Petrus, Lafleur and Vieux Chateau Certan. Their oldest parcels were planted in 1956, 1957 and 1978.
